Re-Ignite Your Creative Spark!

Join Our 6-Week Intro Course

If you’ve had the urge to try jewelry making and join a creative community of like minded people, we have the class for you.

Even if you’ve never held a torch or strung a bead

Then you’re in the right place

We’ll start at the very beginning and explain all of the little details so by the end of 6 weeks

You will feel victorious

Like you can do anything

Because actually, you can (you’re pretty badass)

Many students who sign up for our 2-4 hour classes have NEVER taken a jewelry making class before.

When they arrive, something inside starts to wake up. Little hidden doors begin to open as they begin to learn a new language, hold tools they’ve never used before and watch metal transform before their very eyes.

Something begins to light up along with that torch and they just know.

This is something they need to do more of. This feels right and good.

If this sounds like you, we invite you to step deeper into your jewelry making journey and join us for our class in lear6-week class where you’ll learn the basic skills to make jewelry you’re proud of.

Starting with bits of sheet metal and wire-you’ll begin to form something completely new.

You’ll learn sawing and soldering and measuring and filing but what you gain is going to be deeper and stronger.

Yes, You’ll learn how to make rings, earrings, bracelets and pendants

AND

You’re answering a call within yourself to try something that might seem a little scary at first.

It might feel intimidating to hold a 2000 degree torch and you might feel afraid that you’ll melt the metal (so we’ll melt it on purpose at first, just to get that out of the way!)

But oh, when those projects start to come together, you’ll feel the shift in yourself from hesitancy to pride.

“LOOK what I MADE!!!” will come pouring out of you as you show your creations to strangers in the grocery line.

All good things come from pushing past the fear and diving in anyway.

You can do this and we’re here to support you in your most powerful jewelry making dreams.

We invite you to step into the studio, pull up to your bench and create something beautiful with us.

“Kelly is such a delight! She is knowledgeable, friendly, and does a wonderful job at explaining techniques that could seem intimidating at first glance. I’m hooked after just one class and can’t wait to sign up for another!”

Here’s How It Will Flow:

We’ll start out talking about Metals and we’ll move into working with them. The projects will build on each other so you’ll be adding new skills in each class.

You’ll learn the basics of soldering, sawing, measuring, filing, polishing as you make rings, bangles, cuffs, earrings or pendants (we give you lots of choices!)

You’ll leave with several finished pieces and feeling much more confident in your abilities.

What We’ll Be Covering:

Intro to Metals: You’ll learn about sheet metal and wire, gauges, tempers, tools and studio safety

Forming Metal: We’ll begin with the basics of how to form metal by annealing and hammering it into shape. You’ll get to choose between making earrings, a pendant or a cuff to practice these techniques.

Soldering Metal: We’ll discuss how solder works, what it needs to flow and the 5 rules of soldering. Then you’ll get to practice by making rings and/or bangles (we give you lots of choices!)

Sawing Metal: Learning to Use the Jeweler’s saw effectively opens up a whole world of possibilities in your jewelry making. We’ll introduce you to this fabulous tool, show you how to set it up and do a practice exercise to get the feel for it, then cut out a design.

Cutting Metal Other Ways: We’ll cover shears, disc cutters and pancake dies as well, just in case you and the saw aren’t besties just yet.

Stone Setting: For the grand finale, we’ll make a bezel set piece that ties together all of the skills you learned

You’ll begin learning the language of metalsmithing, along with the tools and how to use them safely

At the end of class, you will have covered enough basics to start making things on your own

or

If you decide to continue on with us, you will get first dibs on the 12-Week Mentorship when it Opens.

“I took a class on making earrings with Kelly and I will be going back for sure!
I left confident that I could learn and do so much more.
If you can take a class at Metal Morphosis do it.”
