About Your Guide

I’m Kelly Diemond

I woke up one day in 2012 and realized I was suffocating in my job

I was creative and needed to do work I found stimulating and still pay the bills

I sat in my car everyday at lunch planning my escape to freedom

I signed up for a teacher training and learned to paint despite not being a painter

Then I learned to make jewelry despite not being a jeweler

I started teaching Adult Ed classes back when all I knew how to make were beaded earrings

I built a jewelry school and grew a student base from scratch

Eventually I gained the courage and confidence to quit the day job and create for a living

Now I get to help others transform metal and maybe their own lives into something they love too

I just took my second class (enamel earrings) here yesterday and it was just as amazing as the first (ring making). The people who teach here are sweet, patient, and incredible instructors. They also foster a space which provides a lot of autonomy during the process, which is amazing. I highly recommend!
