Location

We are located at 1970 West Fayette Street in the Former Strathmore Paint Building now called “Gere Block” (not to be confused with Gear Factory also on Fayette St.)

Parking is free and available in front of our building or in the gravel lot on the side of the building

Student Requirements

Age: Some classes we offer, such as basic metal work and beading, are appropriate for all ages. However, for classes that involve fire, soldering, fusing and glass work we ask that students be 13 and over. Exceptions can be made with prior approval.

Experience: New to jewelry making? Perfect! Jewelry making experience is not required for most classes unless the description says otherwise.

Physical Requirements: The ability to manipulate items with both hands and follow safety instructions is required for most of the work we do. (We use 2000 degree torches so safety is a must)

If you wear reading glasses, bring them for close up work.

Things to Bring: Please bring a mask to wear during class for using certain types of equipment. You are welcome to bring your own safety glasses if you prefer.

Dress Code=Please wear closed toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops allowed in the studio.) Bring a hair tie for long hair and avoid loose clothing or dangling jewelry that can be caught in machines.
