Soldering Saturdays in September

I don’t know about you, but something about the back-to-school time of year, inspires me to want to learn something new.

If that sounds like you too, I’ll be offering a round of upcoming “Soldering Saturdays” in September. I’ve got 3 classes on the books-take one or take them all! They’re each different and will give you an opportunity to learn and practice new skills.

We use a micro-torch in class and I promise although it may sound intimidating at first, it is not scary once you get used to it. After igniting the torch a few times, you will feel much more relaxed. We take extra care to keep your fingers and our workshop burn-free.

First Up will be our stacking rings class on September 15th from 10am-noon. You will learn to form and solder copper or bronze and sterling silver rings. You will leave with 3 finished rings! (A $24.00 value if you were to buy them from me.)

The class is $55.00 and includes instruction and materials.

On Saturday, September 22nd we’ll be offering an Earring Class for the first time, in which you can learn to form an earring and add the ear wire. You can make either drop earrings or studs in the class-we like to give you choices!

Make hoops, teardrops or a design of your own creation with silver wire. You’ll leave with a pair of finished earrings.

Check out the details of that class right here.

Last up is our chain making class on Saturday, September 29th. You will learn how to create and attach links to each other in this skill-based class. You will make a pair of finished link earrings or the beginnings of a link bracelet or necklace.

Learn more about this and all of our soldering classes on our Studio Class page here.

This is an example of chain making, but we won’t have time to finish an entire necklace

I would love to see you for one of our September classes! Registration is available right here.
